Our beginnings
Childrenfirst was previously known as Blacktown Kindergarten Association (BKA). We are a community based not for profit organisation with a Board of Directors comprising of parents and community members. The originalAssociation was formed in 1948/9 as a community based preschool & was first housed in the Alpha Park community building. The first written record of the association dates back to 23 June 1949.
As of January 2012, Childrenfirst has become a Public Limited Company by Guarantee called “Growing Potential Ltd.”, but we trade as Childrenfirst.
