The EarlyStart program is a project funded by the Department of Aging, Disability and Homecare. The aim of EarlyStart is to provide early intervention and support for children and their families in the Blacktown area. This project works in partnership with the Learning Support Programme to deliver this intensive support to families.

EarlyStart also delivers two Aboriginal playgroups per week, held at Butucarbin in Hebersham and Yawarra in Bidwill. All children between the ages of 0-6 years are welcome at playgroup. The playgroups are run by an Early Childhood worker, an Aboriginal trainee and supported by a Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist. EarlyStart works in partnership with Playvan to deliver these playgroups to the local community.
