The Playvan is a mobile playgroup that supports the inclusion of all children. We provide activity ideas and advice to parents to help them help their children participate in playgroup. We allow everyone to join and are experienced at working with children who are at risk of developmental delay, have a disability or display challenging behaviour. We can help parents identify whether children are having difficulties in any area of their development and make suggestions of where to access further help.
Playvan is available to families and playgroups in the Blacktown and Baulkham Hills local government areas.
We bring a wide variety of play equipment to our Playgroups and it includes props to support children’s dramatic play, craft activities, toys that encourage children to use their hands, larger equipment for gross motor play and resources such as books and musical instruments.
Our major resource, of course, is the professional expertise of the Playvan staff and the support of both a Speech Pathologist and a Speech therapist every second week of each group.
