Blacktown Road Covid-19 Updates

Updated 25 August 2021

Blacktown Road Children’s Centre will be temporarily closed due to COVID-19.

We have just been advised a person has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) who attended Blacktown Children’s Centre last week. Children First is still awaiting formal advice from NSW Health, and further updates will follow shortly.

For the safety of children, families and the community, the centre will be temporarily closed from today, 25th August 2021 until NSW Health have thoroughly assessed the situation, are satisfied that we have followed their advice and it is safe to reopen to families. While we recognise this will be disruptive and inconvenient for families, it is important that we take all necessary precautions to minimise the risk of further transmission.

All parents and children who attended during this time should consider self-isolating and get tested until you receive further advice from NSW Health. Anyone who has been unwell or presenting with any cold or flu-like symptoms should seek medical advice and get tested at one of the COVID-19 testing clinics.

We look forward to the centre reopening and children resuming their normal activities.

Children First thank you for your understanding in this matter and will be in touch with further information shortly. For updated information please contact us on 0466 185 729.
