The Power of Positive Language for OOSH

This 2 hour workshop will explore the power of positive language and its impact on the children in our care and education settings.
We will examine
- Powerful words (vs. dis-empowering words).
- Our use of language and how it can impact a child’s sense of idenity.
- Using language intentionally and effectively in our teaching strategies.
- Using positive language to build secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships with children (and also families, colleagues and ourselves).
