HGOSH Covid-19 Updates

Updated 19 August 2021

We wish to advise a person has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) who attended Children First Hassall Grove Outside School Hours site on Friday, 13 August and Monday, 16 August 2021. Children First is still awaiting formal advice from NSW Health, and further updates will follow shortly. There has been no impact upon our other Children First centres.

For the safety of children, families and the community, the centre will be temporarily closed from today, 19 August 2021 until NSW Health have thoroughly assessed the situation, are satisfied that we have followed their advice and it is safe to reopen to families. While we recognise this will be disruptive and inconvenient for families, it is important that we take all necessary precautions to minimise the risk of further transmission.

All staff, parents and children who attended during this time should consider self-isolating until you receive further advice from NSW Health. Anyone who has been unwell or presenting with any cold or flu symptoms to seek medical advice and get tested at one of the COVID-19 testing clinics.

Children First are liaising with Hassall Grove Public School and NSW Health to ensure the health and safety of all our children, parents and staff is maintained. If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, please contact Children First on 0466 185 729. Otherwise, Children First will issue another update as soon as we have received formal advice from NSW Health.
