Children First would like to acknowledge the significant impact the coronavirus (COVID-19) is having on…
It’s been a long time coming, so when we got to officially open the new building to accommodate the Shelley Outside School Hours (SOSH) service, we did it in style.
The bespoke new building on school grounds welcomes 45 children each day and they were on hand to help ‘cut the ribbon’ (a very long “Congratulations” banner) and declare the service open.
Held on Wednesday 28 June, the grand opening featured plenty of fun and games and nutritious snacks (not unlike an average day at the service!) plus some extra celebrations and special guests.
SOSH celebrates its 10th anniversary later this year. Planning for the new building has been underway for a few years. Otto Henfling, CEO of Growing Potential Ltd, said the grand opening marked the start of some exciting times ahead for our Children First Outside of School Hours (OOSH) services.
“We are continually looking for new ways to make a difference to families and children through our centres and the services we provide,” Otto said.
OOSH Manager, Louise Varano thanked the parents and children for their patience and support during the whole process.
Shelley Outside School Hours welcomes children aged 5 to 12 years. It is open 7am – 9am for before school care and between 3pm – 6:30pm for after school care. There are currently some vacancies in our SOSH program. Please contact us for more information.
